PaperStone® named Product of the Year: Surfaces & Finishes at the SBID International Design Awards

The SBID International Design Awards celebrate interior design excellence, spanning interior design, product design and fit out, so it is a huge accolade for the Yorkshire business to receive a product award.

Since CDUK was founded in 1979, the company has grown and diversified its product offering, responding to market changes and customer needs, hence the decision to add PaperStone® to the portfolio. Made from up to 100% FSC®-recycled paper and cardboard with a natural resin, the material has obtained key environmental certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council and is intended to be repurposed at the end of its life.

With exceptional performance and design aesthetics at the heart of the CDUK product portfolio, PaperStone® combines functionality, beauty and sustainability. The surface has a unique, textured effect creating an organic warmth, which can be specified in eleven different hues and tones, each inspired by nature and designed to bring the outdoors inside.

For over a decade, the SBID Awards have been highlighting the outstanding creative achievements of the professional interior design industry. The finalists were assessed by a panel of leading design A&D professionals, paying particular attention to the technical content, aesthetic creativity and fit-for-purpose design and functionality. The international jury featured the President of Wanda Hotels and Resorts, the Senior Vice President of Burberry, the Creative Director of Casa Forma, and the Head of Brunel Design at Brunel University London, alongside many more industry experts. The winners of this year’s SBID International Design Awards for 2022 were revealed on 21st October at the InterContinental Park Lane in London.
