Kevin, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, raised in Paris, and educated at Stanford University, couples his interest in material science and contextual research. His mixed degrees in Slavic Literature and 'Science, Technology, and Society' lend a multi-angle approach in exploring the narratives behind some of the materials the studio encounters.

Studio ThusThat is an Amsterdam-based design practice with a focus on materials, research, and experimentation. Their work with wastes from mining and metallurgy industries has been featured globally, with pieces in the permanent collections of the Design Museum London, Gent Design Museum, and FRAC Dunkerque. The studio is run by Paco Böckelmann and Kevin Rouff.
